Tagore International Festival of Arts and Culture, a festival of Literature and Arts in Hindi and Indian Languages where over 100 authors, artists and theatre and film personalities from over 30 nationalities, Winners of Nobel and Booker Awards Gyan Peeth and Padma Awards, Professors and Students from various Universities of the world will come together. Three days of Tagore Retrospective focussing on his poetry, paintings, stories and plays and four days of world literature spread over 50 sessions will be the highlight of the festival. Release of `Katha Desh' including over 600 Hindi short story writers, art and book exhibitions, folk performances, discussion on books and authors and much more will be a part of the festival.
This is an initiative of Rabindranath Tagore University, the first skills based UNIVERSITY of the country.
Pustak Yatra, a precursor event to Tagore International Literature and Arts Festival 2019 which is a movement to bring back the tradition of reading and rekindle the love for literature among youth. The Pustak Yatra will be inaugurated on 7 th September 2019 in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh), Vaishali (Patna) and Hazaribagh (Jharkhand) by prominent Bollywood personalities – Rajat Kapoor, Piyush Mishra, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vinay Pathak and Raghuveer Yadav. a special invited guest Rajat Kapoor and the ‘closing ceremony’ will be on 22 nd September. Pustak Yatra will then cover 50 locations and 13 districts of MP,13 districts of Chhattisgarh,12 districts of Bihar and 10 districts of Jharkhand. The event is supported by Vigyan Prasar and National Book Trust, New Delhi for this noble cause. Pustak Yatra will travel to various schools and a plethora of activities like interschool poetry, short story writing, painting, competitions, kahani path by regional poets and writers will be conducted.
International Mushaira was completed in the premises of Minto Hall at the event of Vishwarang on 8 November.
